THE GOOD GRACES PLAY HOPSCOTCH [RALEIGH NC]

Ladies and gentlemen, the Good Graces are driving up all the way from Atlanta GA tomorrow, Thursday,  September 4th, to play the 5th annual Hopscotch Festival here in Raleigh NC, and we couldn't be happier!  Potluck (Foundation; record label) is teaming up with us to release the full length album by the Good Graces, titled Close to the Sun, in October of this year.  the Good Graces will be appearing at Potluck's Hopscotch day party on Thursday,  September 4th at Slim's Downtown with other Potluck artists: Schooner, See Gulls, Lakes & Woods, North Elementary, Horizontal Hold, Le Weekend, Curtains, Beauty World, Rogue Band of Youth, and Wichita Falls.  the Good Graces play at 3:00pm.

To add to the celebration, Fort Lowell Records will at Potluck's showcase taking pre-orders for the Good Graces new vinyl album!  Yes, that means you can place your order right there with us at the show, and as soon as the vinyl comes in, we will mail the record to you directly so you don't have to wait for it to be available in stores!  And... to make things even better, the Good Graces will be giving away a FREE copy of their CD album, Drawn to You (Potluck), with every pre-order of their new album!  Aanndd... to sweeten the deal even further, we are going to be giving away a FREE Fort Lowell Records 7inch vinyl record of your choice as well!  So, just for ordering the Good Graces' new 12inch vinyl, you are going to get a FREE CD and a FREE 7inch vinyl!   And all you have to do is pre-order the Good Graces' record tomorrow, Thursday, September 4th at their show at Slim's Downtown during the Potluck Hopscotch day party between 12-5pm!

The test pressing for Naïm Amor's Hear the Walls is in, and we could not be more excited!  Naïm has been one of our favorite artists from Tucson, AZ, ever since first settling there in 2006, and it is truly an honor to now have the opportunity to be the first to hear his latest recording on vinyl record before anyone else.  Hear the Walls is potentially Naïm's greatest work to date, and we are looking forward to presenting this album to you on October 28th.  But for now, we have to make sure that the centering is accurate with the pressing, and that there are no surface noises.  Stay tuned!  (Many thanks to Rainbo Records and Golden Mastering!)

WET & RECKLESS GO TO THE MOVIES

Before she played bass guitar in Wet & Reckless, Tucson's own Jessica Gelt was in another Los Angeles post-punk / new-wave band called The Movies.  Now part-time television producer, not to mention staff writer at the Los Angeles Times, Gelt has partnered with Maker.tv, fashion brand NYLON, and writers Brian Canning (Irving, Afternoons) and Christian Casucci, to put together a 10-episode web series called Oh, You Pretty Things!, loosely based on the travails of The Movies.

Maker Studios has release a soundtrack for the web series that you can purchase from iTunes here, which includes two brand new tracks from Wet & Reckless - "Confetti" and "Bad Blood."

CARRBORO NC, WE'RE COMING FOR YOU

This coming Sunday, April 6th, Fort Lowell Records will be participating in the Spring Carrboro CD & Record Show in North Carolina, hosted by Musical Roots Productions. The official times of the show are 12:00-6:00pm, but we plan to be there at 10:00am to begin setting up, and you are more than welcomed to come by early and say "Hi!," especially since admission is FR-FR-FREE!!!  The record show will be held at The Century Center in the heart of Carrboro, NC (across from Weaver Street Market).

We will have our entire Fort Lowell Records catalog with us... Young Mothers (yes, we have a few left without covers), ...music video?, Wet & Reckless + Tracy Shedd, Dead Western Plains, Death Kit, Howe Gelb (got some of those as well without covers), Luz De Vida (yup, we save one box just for this event), Andrew Collberg, Saint Maybe, and fairweatherfriend! Our table will be set up in the front entrance room, and we will have a complete listening station so you can check out all of our records!  7inches will be priced at $5.00 and 12inches at $10.00!
